The Rule and Rupture Research Group at the Department of Food and Resource Economics at the University of Copenhagen is pleased to organize this 6th annual Governance at the Edge of the State event in its series. This year’s event contains an international conference, and a masterclass for Ph.D. students, organized in cooperation with the Conflict Research Group as well as the Governance in Conflict Network of Ghent University, the Department of Geography of the University of Zurich, and the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, University of Oslo.
Rule and Rupture is an interdisciplinary research programme directed by Christian Lund, which aims to investigate how political authority is constituted after moments of rupture. The focus lies on studying the global south. Overall, eight country studies with rural and urban field sites are conducted in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
We are grateful to the European Research Council (ERC) for funding the Rule and Rupture research programme as well as this year’s Governance at the Edge of the State masterclass and international conference.
